I've just spent 4 hours trying to figure this out and have completely run out of ideas. >< Here's the situation: I'm leaving in a few hours and will be without access to my PC (where I normally play OOTP) until late Sunday. I have been hoping to access OOTP on my mac laptop while I'm gone but I cannot for the life of me get the current league file to download. I'm running the correct version of OOTP and have uninstalled and reinstalled everything several times.
1] When I unzip the contents of the Settings folder directly into the SBL.lg folder, I can download a league file from several months ago, but then can never get the game to update, even when I delete the "online_league_file_time.cfg" file. This setup doesn't look similar to the setup on my PC, though, so...
2] I tried mirroring the setup on my PC by putting the contents of the Settings folder into a folder named "Settings" in the SBL.lg folder. When I do this and attempt to download the latest league file, I get the following error: "Could not open a connection to the FTP server."
I'm not a mac professional, and have done hours of research into this trying to figure out what's going on but am now totally out of ideas. Does anyone have any advice? I'll take the laptop with me in case there are ideas and will try to figure things out on the road.
If I can't get it to work, is it possible for someone to check in and make sure my team fields a full lineup for a few days I'll be gone? I'd be eternally grateful and am really sorry for the last minute notice. This has been far more difficult than I expected.

Contents of the settings folder should be in a setting folder. I have zero mac experience and am no help whatsoever when it comes to them...

File --> Online League --> Online League FTP Settings.
There's a few things to try here... FTP Mode = Passive. If that doesn't work.
Import Account Data File. Use the directory to find the accountsdata_gms.dat file in your settings folder. Then click Ok. and Check. And try downloading in game again.
(this is on a PC so i'm unsure if its different in the mac version)
The other option is to directly download via the website for each sim outside of the game and then extract and export via in-game or via file. I can send you those links via PM

Thanks sooooo much guys! I tried things with FTP = passive and it worked!!!! OMG so excited. I really appreciate the help from both of you--and from Thomas, who kindly agreed to step in with virtually no notice. It appears that I can work this going forward and that is completely entirely awesome. Thanks again!
