Anthony are you in? If so we have eight and I can start setting this up as that is the minimum amount of guys I feel we should have. If more people want to join I can easily change that. Still confused. If were keeping players from one season to the next, what is the draft for? Or is there only so many players you can keep from one year to the next. Last time I played keeper and dynasty leagues werent a thing... In a dynasty league, which is the format I was thinking of doing, you keep players until you release or trade them. From ESPN: "Dynasty leagues are more than just keeper leagues, where each owner may get to retain a handful of players each season. They can truly give you a chance to root for a player for as long as your heart desires.Once a guy is on your roster, he can stay there until he retires.Did you take a chance with a late-round flier on David Ortiz in 1997? Congratulations. You've enjoyed 19 seasons and 503 career home runs as a result. Of course, picks can just as easily backfire on you. Remember Jason Dickson, anyone? Anyone?Of course, when you start a dynasty league from scratch, you have to be of two minds. Sure, you want to create a team full of hot prospects and young players with tons of upside who may become the building blocks of a successful team for years to come, but you also have to draft enough established players who can help you today."The yearly draft is for the previous year's IFAs and drafted players. Other players can be signed off the waiver wire at any time.

I'd be up for a dynasty league! Currently in a keeper one just now which has been pretty good but this would be a new challenge

Anthony, as others have explained, you draft your team and you will keep that team forever. It is just like running your OOTP team. A player will remain on your roster until you trade him or release him or he retires.
At the end of each season, Just like in OOTP, there is a rookie draft, this one, sounds like, will include the international free agents in the draft too. So there is a draft of so many rounds where you get to pick college players that entered the real MLB draft along with IFA's.
I am sure there will be roster limits, etc. so you will have to release players to sign new players, etc.
But think of it in terms as a real life OOTP league. Instead of a game like OOTP simming the games for you, the guys are playing them in real life. Other than that, it is pretty much OOTP.

Hey guys, right now we're just waiting for the Twins and Nats GMs to create their teams. Once that's done we'll set a draft time and go from there. If you have any more questions or suggestions about the league's rules or format, post them here.
